Three days driving on a war monument
I finished up my work in Victoria with a trip along the Great Ocean Road. A fantastic route from Adelaide to Melbourne. 240 kilometers driving along the coast. Built by returned soldiers between 1919 and 1932 and dedicated to soldiers killed during World War I, the road is the world’s largest war memorial.
Filming along the coast
Winter is coming in Australia. I had to film with lots of rain and wind at the Great Ocean Road. Not really the best condition to shoot. During the day I mostly film with my iPhone and a stabilizer, but because of the strong wind, it was impossible to use this equipment. I’m getting a bit nervous, not knowing if I gathered enough useful footage. This is the hardest part of working for tour operators. You only get one chance and when the weather sucks, it’s kind of stressful to film. But luckily it turned out really well and I enjoyed the trip. Wanna see more videos of Australia? Check it out.
